Camp Hickory
The Hanover Area YMCA is ready to redefine your summer! Campers experience theme weeks, field trips, adventures and opportunities to make new memories. Our staff will teach campers new skills and facilitate learning through activity in a safe and fun environment.
We will focus on building character, self-esteem, and team building throughout the summer. This will be done while encouraging campers to make new friends and socialize so they may continue to develop their interpersonal skills and independent personalities.
Codorus Adventure Camp
Looking for something a little extra? Codorus Adventure Camp gives campers the chance to explore the great outdoors at beautiful Codorus State Park during select summer weeks. Campers will travel by YMCA bus from each branch to the park for a full day of fresh air, fun, and adventure.
Each Codorus Adventure day may include:
- Kayaking on the lake
- Hiking and nature trails
- Fishing
- Outdoor games and group challenges
- Picnic lunch at the park (campers bring a packed lunch)
With YMCA staff leading the way, campers will enjoy a safe, structured outdoor experience while building confidence, teamwork, and a love for nature. Transportation, supervision, and activities are all included.
Codorus Adventure Camp is offered during select weeks and has limited availability.
Camp Financial Assistance Information
- FA App to download and complete the Financial Assistance (FA) application.
- All applications and accompanying documents must be returned to a branch location.
- Applications are generally processed within 2-3 weeks. All requests for summer camp must be received as soon as possible. The deadline to request assistance is two weeks prior to enrollment.
- Camps fill up quickly. Incomplete applications cannot be processed and your child will not be enrolled in camp/child care until the all information is received and the award is approved.
